On 27th November 2025, due to a severe cyclonic storm accompanied by heavy flooding, several sections of the Sethsiri Group were significantly affected. As a result of floodwaters rising several feet high, the second floor of the premises was inundated, causing extensive damage to:
- Gampola Sethsiri Super Supermarket
- Sethsiri Bakers
- A section of the Sethsiri Warehouse Complex
- Delivery trucks
- Cafe 1985 by Sethsiri, which also suffered considerable losses due to flooding
At present, the owners, management, officers, and all staff members of Sethsiri are working together tirelessly on cleaning and restoration activities. Once the cleaning process is completed, maintenance and repair work will be carried out. Therefore, we regret to inform you that it may take some time before operations can be fully resumed and the outlets reopened.
